The South Western bowling team continued its strong stretch of the season with another solid week of competition, highlighted by big individual performances, steady team scoring, and a great milestone moment for the program.
Leading the way once again was Cole Kurtz, who put together an outstanding 660 series on December 15th, backing it up with multiple high games throughout January, including a season-best 712 series and a 268 high game. Cole has been a model of consistency and power at the top of the lineup, giving the team a reliable anchor every match.
Seth Miller continued to show growth and confidence, delivering several clutch performances, including a 658 series and a 257 high game. Seth has been setting the tone early in matches and finishing strong, especially in pressure situations late in games.
Carter Thurston has been rock-solid week in and week out, combining consistency with timely strikes. Carter posted multiple series in the mid- to high-500s, highlighted by a 626 series and several key 200+ games that helped keep team momentum rolling.
Jason Liberto continues to make strides, contributing important games to the team total and showing improvement throughout the lineup. Jasonās steady presence and willingness to compete frame by frame has been valuable in tight matches.
A special highlight of the season came during the December 15th match, when Lillian Lese made her competitive debut for South Western. Lillian stepped onto the lanes and competed with confidence, gaining valuable match experience and contributing to the team effort. Her debut marks an important step forward for the program as it continues to grow and build depth.
As a team, South Western has shown excellent balance, depth, and resilience, with multiple bowlers capable of stepping up at any moment. The progress, effort, and sportsmanship displayed each match continue to reflect the hard work being put in during practice.
